We've been doing this since 1994, and the way we work has always been shaped by one thing: what it actually takes to help someone feel grounded about their financial future.

Our FirmHow It Started

Capital Planning Wealth Management was founded by David Bahnick and John Sullivan, two advisors who came together through a shared belief that financial planning had to be comprehensive, not transactional.

As the financial landscape grew more complex over the years, so did the needs of the people they were serving. The team made a deliberate choice to meet that complexity through specialization. Today, each advisor carries the foundation of comprehensive financial planning alongside a focused area of expertise, whether that's Medicare, Social Security, employee retirement plans, or other areas that demand concentrated knowledge. That structure means the people we serve get both the breadth of a full plan and the depth that comes from genuine specialization.

How We Work

Every conversation starts with understanding. Before anything else, we want to know who you are, what you're working toward, and what's weighing on you. We have seven advisors and nine specialists, and they work together on your behalf, sharing knowledge and perspective so that no single piece of your plan exists in isolation from the rest.

Whether you're in the thick of your career or stepping into retirement, the approach is the same: get to know you well, build a plan around your actual life, and stay engaged as things change.
